Senior IT Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine product vision, strategy, and roadmap for transformation and modernization of a legacy federal system
• Lead a compact team to support the comprehensive assessment, discovery and other essential initiatives necessary for migrating an existing system from its current environment to a cloud-based solution. This will include documents such as:
• Current and Future State Analysis
• Cost and Impact Analysis
• Project Timelines
• Cost Budget Analysis
• Technical Assessment and Documentation
• Strategic Implementation Plan
• Lead the team to conduct market research and engagement sessions to identify potential vendor solutions
• Lead the team to analyze the vendor solutions and implement Proof Of Concept (POC) for 3 use cases demonstrating viability and suitability of the selected vendor solution
• Create an effective and prioritized delivery plan to meet customer’s needs in a cost-effective way
• Communicating credibly with a wide range of technical disciplines and audiences
• Track project progress using project management tools like JIRA etc.
• Ensuring iterative delivery of documentation, communications, milestone deliverables
• Providing Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, facilitating Status Meetings with Client and conducting presentations as needed.
• Managing the Risk Management and Action Log
• Maintaining high quality levels on all client deliverables

Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager providing technical guidance to team members
• Experience conducting discovery sessions and evaluation of market solutions
• Experience managing the delivery of IT strategic plans and technology solutions
• Experience in providing leadership and guidance to clients and technical teams on migration efforts from legacy platforms to cloud base architecture
• Maintains strong technical aptitude and a solid understanding of cloud based solutioning
• Ability to foster strategic and cost-effective solutions and manage execution from concept to deployment
• Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaborate well with team members and business partners
• Strong documentation skills for briefs, presentations, concept of operations, etc. with a strong proficiency in cost-based analysis

• Able to successfully pass background check prior to employment
• CMMI familiarity not required, but it will definitely elevate your standing
