iCUBE Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-based solutions for government and enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps and cloud architecture, with strong expertise in AWS, AWS GovCloud, Azure, containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and cloud security and compliance. The role involves close collaboration with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and project teams to build and maintain automated software delivery pipelines, implement secure cloud architectures, manage containerized environments, and ensure compliance with applicable security requirements. The candidate will also provide technical leadership in Agile/Scrum environments and support infrastructure and application modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure and application environments
  • Develop and optimize DevSecOps practices and processes across the software development lifecycle
  • Develop and enhance accessible, user-centered web applications and interfaces using the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and WCAG accessibility standards, ensuring compliance with Section 508 and federal accessibility requirements.
  • Architect and manage cloud solutions utilizing AWS, AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure, GSA Cloud.gov, and other cloud platforms
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Manage containerized applications and infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman
  • Integrate security practices and controls throughout development, deployment, and operational processes
  • Support security and compliance initiatives in accordance with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements
  • Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and infrastructure risks
  • Support incident response activities and technical remediation for security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud, application, and infrastructure environments using tools such as Splunk, New Relic, and Zabbix
  • Design and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting large-scale environments and multi-datacenter operations
  • Perform infrastructure performance optimization, capacity planning, and reliability improvements
  • Support database and data infrastructure environments, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, MySQL, and MariaDB
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate applications and services into automated CI/CD workflows
  • Support application development and integration using technologies such as Node.js, Express, Symfony, Laravel, and Drupal
  • Implement and maintain Git-based development workflows, including Git-Flow
  • Lead and mentor technical team members and coordinate DevOps activities across teams
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement activities
  • Track technical activities, issues, and deliverables using tools such as Jira and YouTrack
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks
  • Evaluate emerging cloud, DevOps, automation, and AI technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and security

Technical Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including experience with AWS GovCloud
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud architectures for government or enterprise environments
  • Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Podman
  • Extensive experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
  • Experience with CircleCI, Git, and Git-based development workflows
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks, including FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and ATO
  • Experience supporting security incident response and remediation activities
  • Experience with monitoring and logging technologies such as Splunk, New Relic, and Zabbix
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure environments, including 30+ servers and multi-datacenter environments
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure scalability, availability, reliability, and performance optimization
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, MySQL, and/or MariaDB
  • Experience with application development and integration technologies such as Node.js, Express, Symfony, Laravel, and Drupal
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders
  • AWS Certified Developer certification
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification
  • Active Secret security clearance
