Edward Daniel “Dan” Narkiewicz is a Lead Engineer and DevOps Lead at iCUBE, bringing more than 12 years of experience delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing digital services for federal agencies and commercial organizations. With a B.S. in Computer Science, his work focuses on technical delivery, cloud modernization, full-stack Drupal engineering, and DevOps automation for complex, high-visibility systems.
Dan has led major modernization and migration initiatives for USA.gov, Voice of America, NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, and PRAC. His experience spans Drupal 7 through Drupal 11 and cloud platforms including AWS, AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure, and Cloud.gov. He designs scalable hosting architectures, containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, automated CI/CD pipelines, and blue-green deployment strategies that improve reliability while reducing operational risk and deployment downtime.
Security and compliance are central to Dan’s approach. He has deep experience with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST controls, Authorizations to Operate, System Security Plans, Plans of Action and Milestones, vulnerability remediation, and third-party security assessments. Dan supported USA.gov’s FedRAMP Revision 5 authorization by resolving control ambiguities and completing SSP, SAR, and POA&M documentation in coordination with a 3PAO. By effectively applying Cloud.gov’s inherited controls, he helped reduce the anticipated authorization timeline from approximately 6–18 months to about three months. He also integrates automated security controls, accessibility-as-code, and Section 508 and WCAG testing throughout the delivery lifecycle.
At iCUBE, Dan is valued for connecting engineering execution with security, compliance, and mission outcomes. His experience supporting GSA, NOAA, VOA, PRAC, FHFA, HHS, and the U.S. Navy, enables him to deliver practical modernization strategies that accelerate delivery, strengthen resilience, and reduce long-term technical risk.
